HOW IT WORKS:
BUYERS
PLACE A BID/OFFER
Once you’ve created an account and found a ride you like, you can bid or make an offer. Awesome Joe Auctions features two types of listings: auctions and classifieds. The type of listing will determine if a bid or offer is needed (details below). Before you make an offer or a bid, check the conditions that will be validated, and who the seller is using as the condition validator. If you are not confident enough to bid/buy, ask the seller if they’ll consider adding more conditions and specific validators so you can be certain the vehicle is worth purchasing.
MAKE A DEPOSIT
Once the listing has closed and your offer or bid has been accepted, and if vehicle conditions are on the listing, the seller may require you to deposit $500.00 (or 10% if the sale price is under $5000.00) into an escrow account chosen by the seller. This deposit ensures the seller can move forward with the third-party validation of the vehicle’s listed condition (details below).

Complete your transaction and work with our partners for support with financing, transportation, insurance, and more. Our Awesome Joe Agents can also help you at any stage of the Buy Confident Process.

CREATE A LISTING
Click here to create an auction or classified listing and upload your vehicle description and high-quality photos. The type of vehicle you’re selling will determine what type of listing you’ll need to create.
LIST YOUR CONDITIONS & VALIDATORS
Add your vehicle’s attributes and specs for validation in the event of sale. You choose the third-party validators who will verify your vehicle’s conditions after it is sold.
OPEN AN ESCROW ACCOUNT & COMPLETE THE CONDITION VALIDATION REPORT
Once your vehicle sells, open an escrow account with the help of our agents. The buyer will make a $500.00 deposit into the account that will be released to you immediately after you send them the condition validation report.

AUCTION VS. CLASSIFIEDS
AUCTIONS
Our auction listings are the perfect way to buy or sell highly modified or specialized vehicles that have an interpretive value.
For example, a winning race vehicle may be interpreted at a higher value for John Doe vs. Jane Doe, making it qualify for an auction type.
All bids are free to place, allowing bidders to make as many as needed to win the auction. If a bid exceeds the Reserve Price, sellers can accept the bid using the Quick Sell feature or wait until the auction is scheduled to end.
CLASSIFIEDS
Classified listings are ideal for anyone selling or buying stock or moderately-customized vehicles that have a set value.
When buying a vehicle from our classifieds section, you can either purchase immediately at the asking price or make an offer and hope the seller accepts.
Pricing Structure
Whether the listing is an auction or a classified, the pricing is the same.
BUYERS: If an offer is accepted on a classified or reserve is met and accepted on an auction, you will be charged a service fee of 3% of the vehicle's price, up to a max of $3,000.00.
SELLERS: Our Free-to-List-Until-Sold* policy provides you a risk-free listing option. Upon completion of a sale and your acceptance of the bid or offer, you will only be charged a service fee of 2% of the vehicle's price, up to a max of $2,000.00.
For listings using the Buy Confident Process, buyers must deposit $500.00 (or 10% of the sale, whichever is less) into an escrow account, with the help of an Awesome Joe Agent.
CONDITION VALIDATION AND ESCROW
Condition validation helps demonstrate a vehicle’s true value and instills confidence within our network of motor enthusiasts. Sellers can add vehicle conditions and third-party validators to their listings. Upon sale, the seller will pay a small fee to have the listed conditions validated by the listed the third-party of their choosing. If the seller is willing, buyers can request certain conditions be included in the validation and specific validators be used.
Once a buyer agrees to purchase a vehicle with listed conditions, they will place a $500.00 (or 10% of the sale, whichever is less) deposit into an escrow account chosen by the seller that is setup with the help of our Awesome Joe Agents. Once the vehicle’s conditions are validated, the deposit will be released from escrow to the seller, moving on to the most exciting part—transferring the vehicle.
